To get that perfect fit, we need to get to know you well and help you understand how you’d fit into our team. That’s why Moko’s hiring process is a type of courtship. Joining a new team is a big decision, you spend almost as much time with your colleagues as you do with your family! Here’s what to expect as we answer the question – is it a match made in heaven?
It takes about 4 to 8 weeks from the date of shortlisting to communication of results and/or receiving an offer. The best part is that the initial stages of our hiring process are done online at the candidate’s convenience, and every week we’ll be in touch with constant updates every step of the way.
At first, we’re just getting to know each other. So, the initial stages are more general as we look for cultural fit and general qualities. As the process advances, it gets more role specific. Together, we’ll analyze the role you would best fit in to help us steer the Moko spaceship to infinity and beyond.
We only ask candidates to provide general, basic information and only what is relevant to the interview process. In the later stages of the interview courtship, we’ll ask you to do a work performance test to understand your capabilities for the position you are interviewing for. We provide a diverse range of evaluations. Some are imaginary challenges we’re yet to face while others are challenges that we have experienced in the past but have since found and implemented their solutions.
Generally, we review applications on a rolling basis and openings remain online until they are filled.
Because of Moko’s rapid growth (yaay!), we constantly have additional openings for the same role. E.g. we already have Operations Officers but could re-advertise the position to boost capacity in the Operations Team. Sometimes, due to the nature of the position we’re hiring for, it may end up taking a couple of months before we can get the right person for the job. Great things take time, you know!
We would never blue tick you. We always respond to all new applicants within 7 days from the date of application. We’ll reach out to those reapplying only if able to shortlist them for a role. Emails can be cheeky though. If you are yet to receive an email, please check your junk or spam folders. It could be hiding somewhere in there. We use the email addresses provided by the candidates at the time of application to communicate the interview progress. Errors in submitting this mean that we’ll not be able to communicate with you. There’s no need to reapply. We automatically consider previous applicants for any role that comes up before advertising, and we’ll be in touch if there’s a fit.
